      A known plain text attack is an attempt to validate the plain text from an encrypted document.  For example, if you found an encrypted file called file001.html.dct and it contained the CRC of the plain text in the headers, you could search through the machine's Netscape cache directory and compare each file's CRC and get possible matches.
